Runcorn Energy Recovery Facility, UK

Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Plant for INEOS Runcorn (TPS) Limited (TPSCo) a joint venture of Ineos, Viridor and Laing. The plant processes up to 425,000 tonnes of refuse derived fuel (RDF) per annum provided by Greater Manchester Waste Authority.

 

With significant delays on the project, we assisted in producing a detailed plan to terminate the employment of the contractor. The Contractor agreed to changes to the programme and securities and completed the project successfully in January 2015.

Beckton Combined Heat and Intelligent Power (CHiP) Plant, UK

​

Claim preparation for J. Murphy and Sons Limited. This facility utilised a MAN Marine Diesel engine to produce steam to drive turbines and pre-heat gas in a pressure reduction station. The engine was to be run on used fat and oil.

 

Claims were based on changing management philosophy, from manual control on site to control from a remote location through SCADA systems.
